Jim Tressel won't be resigning

Tressel wasn't found guilty because HE WASN'T THERE ANYMORE, once the facts came out regarding Ray Isaacs and Micky Monus.  Instead Youngstown State's football program took the hit.

This isn't an opinion -- it is a fact.  Micky Monus was a friend of Tressel.  Someone who he allowed on the sidelines for every practice and game at YSU.  Tressel set up the meeting between Monus and Isaacs -- This is all on the court dockets from when Monus was under a federal investigation for 'irregular bookkeeping'.

If i was just stating an opinion -- I would have said 'I THINK', or said, 'In my opinion'.  Everything I've typed is fact though.  Tressel wasn't punished because nothing could be proven UNTIL the federal investigation went down on Monus.  By that time, Tressel was at Ohio State, but this all occurred when he was COACHING Youngstown State.


Also -- I've already stated -- I'm not a die hard Michigan fan -- I root for them when they play, as I was brought up with parents who cheered for them.  I didn't go there and have no affiliation with the school.  I graduated from Olivet College for undergrad and Eastern Michigan for my masters.  I am more a big ten fan than anything else, as that is what is around here in michigan.

The thing that makes me laugh though, is the OSU fan base talking about Tressel as if he is squeaky clean and better than anyone else.  I think that is a joke.  He cheated when he was at YSU, but got away with it, as the charges were brought down after he was gone.  Since he has been at OSU -- no other school has more NCAA violations -- though most are minor, he has had a star RB spill his guts out about how things work at OSU.  OSU was able to dodge a bullet with those accusations, but in the following years -- EXACTLY WHAT CLARETT STATED has happened again.  Troy Smith getting paid for a job he didn't have to go to.  Santonio Holmes talking about money handshakes.  The Tatto Five selling off items and autographs for cash and tattoos.  Pryor getting busted with "loaner cars'' 3 different times for speeding in three different cars.

Is Clarett the next Nostrodamus, or was he telling the truth to ESPN the Magazine???  Money for jobs you don't have to go to?  Check.  Money handshakes from boosters?  Check.  Autographed jerseys for free stuff?  Check.  Loaner cars?  Check.
