Beyoncé recently released her highly anticipated new single, "Run the World", to the excitement of fans worldwide. Now, the video for the single has dropped, and it seems entirely fitting of Beyoncé's revamped image and sound.
Fitting with the title of the song and general mood set by Beyoncé, the "Run the World" video packs a whole lot of girl power, starting from the very beginning. Images of powerful (yet sexualized - this is still a pop video, after all!) women are shown in a montage, with some being very Madonna-esque.
The overall video is cinematically beautiful, with Beyoncé in a variety of different settings in the desert, all decked out in colorful, Goddess-like costumes. She is rap God Jay-Z's wife, after all. Why wouldn't she be glammed out in some serious couture for the shoot?
